Property Overview- The property contains approximately 516.39 acres and is located near the community of Standish in the Honey Lake Valley. The property contains a mixture of agricultural use, wildlife habitat and rural recreational opportunities. Agricultural Use- The property contains approximately 56.00 acres of farmland that is leveled and suitable for flood irrigation. There was more acreage historically irrigated. There are 119 shares of water from the Lassen Irrigation Company allocated to the property. There is an agricultural well that produces a reported 80 gpm that supplies water to a solar-powered livestock watering system. There is a ditch system that is supplied water from an 18' mainline. The property has historically supported irrigated pasture and grain hay crops. The soils on the farmland consist of Fordney loamy fine sand, Honlak loam and Humboldt silty clay loam. The balance of the property is native meadow and rangeland that also are used for livestock grazing. The property has historically supported approximately 120 cow/calf pairs for a four-month summer grazing season. Wildlife Habitat- The property has significant frontage along the Susan River and expansive wetland habitat with small ponds and reservoirs. The property has been used for hunting ducks and waterfowl, quail and upland birds. Dill Slough also flows through the property.
